Secretariat

Based in Brussels, the centre of EU policy-making, CLIA Europe’s Secretariat is responsible for the management of the association. It is staffed by a Secretary General, a Vice-President Public Relations, two Directors (Government Affairs and Public Affairs), a Policy Advisor, an office manager and an accountant.

CLIA Europe has accredited status with the EU institutions and is established as a non-profit making company under Belgian law.

The Secretariat’s primary goal and mission is to champion and protect the European cruise industry on behalf of our members. To this end, we engage proactively, knowledgeably and appropriately with the EU Institutions (European Commission, European Parliament, Council) as well as with the European media, defending our members’ interests and seeking to promote a positive image of the cruising experience.
