Labour Affairs Advisory Committee

The cruise industry provides a work environment that operates in accordance with the strict standards of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) – both international regulatory bodies – and respective flag state requirements. CLIA Europe member lines are committed to fostering safe, professionally rewarding, and enjoyable work environments for seafarers on-board their ships.

The Advisory Committee has a close working relationship with other international stakeholders (like the European Community of Shipowners Associations and the International Chamber of Shipping) to ensure common approaches on EU issues insofar as the interests of the cruise sector allows it.

Chairman: Tino Hensel, AIDA
